Information about Luxury Family Hotels in the UK

About us

Luxury Family Hotels was founded in 1988 and comprises five hotels across southern England - Fowey Hall in Cornwall, Moonfleet Manor on the Jurassic coast, Woolley Grange near Bath, and New Park Manor in the New Forest. The Ickworth in Suffolk will join the family soon.

Our history

Luxury Family Hotels was founded over 35 years ago with a clear vision: to provide hotel stays tailored to families, without compromising on comfort or luxury. Over the years, we've evolved and we now have five hotels in our collection.

But long before LFH came to be, the buildings that we now call home were used for a whole host of other purposes. Fowey Hall, for example, is said to have been the inspiration for Toad Hall in the Wind in the Willows!

Sustainability

We take thoughtful steps to reduce our environmental impact. Our Sustainability Impact document shares how each hotel supports its local area through mindful, place-based initiatives.

Accessibility

Every family deserves to feel welcome. Explore how we make our hotels accessible for guests with mobility, sensory, or other access needs in our Accessibility Statement.

Interiors by StudioJill

The creative behind our new-look interiors at Fowey Hall and Moonfleet Manor is StudioJill, a contemporary London-based design studio. The creative team dream up aspirational yet homely interiors that are thoughtfully tailored to all ages. At each property, you'll find plenty of nods to our Luxury Family Hotels brand - monochrome stripes and playful pops of colour - alongside original details that hint at our properties' rich histories and bespoke items from local craftspeople.

Our sister hotel, The Grove

Just 18 miles from London, our sister hotel in leafy Hertfordshire, The Grove is a five-star hotel that is home to a luxurious spa, four restaurants and a championship golf course.
