Hire a bike and explore the National Trust estate

Hop on a bike and explore the 1,800-acre National Trust estate that surrounds our stately manor. Exploring the Estate via bike is a great way to see more of the beautiful parkland. As a guest at the lckworth Hotel, we have some extra options available to you.

Monday – Wednesday: Pre-booking via email (*excluding Suffolk School holidays)
Thursday – Sunday**: Open 10am-2pm last hire, available to the public & hotel guests on a first come first serve basis. No pre-booking available.
3 November – 19 December: Monday to Friday only and outside of Suffolk School holidays*, pre-booking via email.

To pre-book a bike, please send an email with 48 hours notice to ickworthcycle@nationaltrust.org.uk

*Suffolk School Holidays (booking not available) 15th – 23rd February, 5th – 21st April, 24th May – 1st June, 23rd July – 31st August, 25th October – 2nd November, 20th December – 4th January. 

** Cycle Hire open 6 January 2025 to November 3 2025
