From the iconic Rotunda with its innovative Italianate gardens to the estate’s structured parkland, Ickworth is a dream of Rome within the heart of Suffolk.

Trace the footsteps of Ickworth’s residents over the years in our house exhibition and learn just how the Rotunda came to be. Beginning with Ickworth’s visionary curator, the ‘Earl-Bishop’, step through time to learn the stories of those who helped bring his ideas to life – and those who changed it. From quality craftsmanship to pioneering design, we invite visitors to discover why Ickworth is designed the way it is.
