Woolley Grange is embarking on an exciting new chapter, bringing you refreshed spaces, thoughtful design, and even more of the warmth and charm you love. From 5th May 2025, we’ll be closing temporarily for a carefully planned refurbishment - but we promise it will be worth the wait.

From mid October, we’ll start reopening Woolley Grange bit by bit - revealing a brand-new chapter that’s been lovingly redesigned with families at its heart. We’re giving the hotel a fresh new feel, gently tying together all the quirky corners and charming buildings into one beautiful, welcoming space, while keeping all the history and character that makes Woolley, well… Woolley!

We’re going for a vibe that feels new but familiar - like a lovely little refresh without losing the soul of the place. Think of it as a warm hug from the past with a little modern sparkle! The spaces will feel cosy, relaxed, and full of personality. We’re leaning into the building’s natural charm, not hiding it, so expect rustic textures, comfy corners, and all those rich, characterful details that make you feel instantly at home.

There’ll be plenty of colour and pattern, too - bringing the building’s story to life with designs that reflect its countryside setting and historic roots. From folksy, whimsical prints inspired by the 16th century to earthy tones like muddy browns, warm greens, and deep reds - every finish has been thoughtfully chosen to feel both beautiful and true to Woolley’s setting.

And of course, we’re keeping things quirky and playful - this is a family hotel, after all! Expect art, objects and design touches that spark curiosity and joy (especially for the little ones). We’re celebrating all the fun and fascinating bits of Woolley’s past.
