Our Four Bears Den team at Moonfleet Manor in Dorset is sharing their top three ideas.

Easter Arts and Crafts to Keep the Kids Entertained This Easter

Family experiences

Easter holidays are just around the corner and we have some ideas for great arts and crafts activities to do with your family. Our Four Bears Den team at Moonfleet Manor in Dorset is sharing their top three ideas. Check them out below.

Handprint Bunny

What you will need: Coloured card or paper, scissors, colouring pens or pencils.

Ask your child to trace around their hand and then cut this out, also cut off the middle finger. Bend over the pinkie and thumb fingers, then simply decorate the palm with facial features for your bunny, and don’t forget to decorate the ears and draw some feet. This very sweet little bunny could be used as decoration on the table for Easter Sunday or simply as a seasonal keepsake for family members.

Decorating Eggs

What you will need: Eggs - either hard-boiled eggs or craft eggs, paint, colouring pens, paints, glue, and pipe cleaners.

How will you decorate yours? Will you use pens or paint to create a pattern or animal, or maybe use some food colouring in a bowl and dip the egg in to dye the shell. You can create patterns by wrapping an elastic band around the egg before dipping it in the colouring. If dipping and dyeing isn't your thing, try this less-mess decorating idea and use the glue and pipe cleaners to go all the way around the egg from top to bottom.

Easter Bunny Plate Basket

What you will need: Two paper plates, scissors, white and pink card, colouring pens, a glue stick, small pompoms, and googly wiggly eyes.

Simply cut one plate in half and stick it on the front of the whole plate to create a pouch. Create some bunny ears with the white and pink card and stick them to the top of the plate. Then to the halved plate add eyes, and draw a mouth and whiskers. Don’t forget the pompom for your bunny’s nose. Use your new bunny basket to collect smaller Easter eggs.

The Four Bears Den team also recommends letting children help out with Easter Sunday lunch, whether it is decorating the table or helping you make chocolate treats in the kitchen.
