Catch the ferry to Polruan

Catch the ferry to Polruan and check out the view from the top of the hill

Walk down the hill to the town Quay or at low tide walk to Whitehouse Quay – the ferry leaves every 15 minutes. Once at Polruan, walk up a few steps and along West Street to the block house or Polruan castle for a great photo with Fowey and the hotel in background! Walk up Battery Lane and check out the viewpoint at the mouth of the estuary. Keep walking up and reward the kids with time in the playground with a great view! On your way back, stop for a quick drink at The Lugger Inn while you wait for the ferry to take you back to Fowey.
