Lulworth Cove
A little further afield, but well worth the drive, is Lulworth Cove. This iconic site is famous for its clear blue waters and white cliffs, and it's a popular spot for dog walkers. You'll need to keep your dog on a lead in some areas, but there are plenty of opportunities for a good run around. And if you're feeling adventurous, you can even take a boat trip out to sea.
Hardy's Monument
For a more challenging walk, take a short drive to Hardy's Monument. This hilltop landmark offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside and is a great spot for a picnic. The walk up to the monument is steep, but worth the effort, and your dog will love the chance to explore the surrounding woodlands and countryside.
Langton Herring
Right on the doorstep is the South West Coastal Path, if you head west you can take a stroll along the Fleet Lagoon to the village of Langton Herring. It is a three-mile round trip on foot from the hotel, but you can stop halfway at the village pub, The Elm Tree, to have a drink or bite to eat.
