During the May half-term and the summer holidays

During the May half-term and the summer holidays, our hotels will each be offering different Nature Adventure sessions. These promise to offer some screen-free, memory-making experiences for children (and adults in some cases!).

Nature Adventure Sessions offer children and adults time with a range of specialist forest school and bushcraft instructors who will deliver natural fire lighting, communal camp cooking, and a variety of nature activities such as arts and crafts, tool usage, and flora and fauna identification. Sessions will be on-site in the wooded areas and on the beach at Readymoney Cove.

Nature Adventures at Moonfleet offer an escape into the hidden woodland by the hotel. Children will be able to take part in activities like den building, scavenger hunts, potion making, and more. The adventure will include a picnic lunch and toasting marshmallows on the fire pit.

Children can sign up for Forest School, where they will have a number of activities to choose from and time for free play during their 2-hour session. Activities will include den building, learning about plants, foraging, bug hunting, pond dipping, whittling- simple woodwork, working with clay, nature weaving, and group and mindfulness games. Each session will end with a chance to toast marshmallows while listening to a tale around the campfire.

Join the Woodlander Coppice for a Nature Pioneers session at New Park Manor. There will be a range of activities and experiences for children outdoors. There is an opportunity to learn a little bit about the history of The New Forest and the deer that call it home.

Older children will be thrilled with exciting Nature Adventure sessions available for children aged 8 years plus, where archery and axe throwing will be on offer. There will also be the opportunity for younger children with a Woodland craft session to let them explore nature with different craft activities.
