At Woolley Grange, we believe that every story deserves to be told in beautiful detail - and that includes the spaces we live, laugh, and make memories in. As part of our exciting transformation, we’re giving you a peek into the textures, tones and treasures that are shaping the next chapter of our beloved Jacobean manor.

Every little detail of our Woolley Grange refurbishment has been chosen with heart. From calming colour palettes that nod to the Wiltshire landscape, to the joyful mix of playful prints and rustic finishes, this reawakening is a true celebration of our heritage - brought to life through thoughtful, family-focused design.

Texture You Can Feel, Warmth You Can Sense

Expect a tactile journey as soon as you step through the doors when we reopen this October. In every space, natural textures take centre stage: handwoven wools, worn timbers, soft linens, and brushed brass details that shimmer gently in the light. We're embracing the warmth of original stone walls, layering in crafted touches like crewel embroidery, deconstructed chairs and heritage-inspired wallpaper to honour the building’s past.

Even our mascot, the Woolley sheep, gets a charming nod - appearing in textured wall art, whimsical signs, and soft sculptural forms that add a touch of humour and homeliness.

A Colour Story Rooted in Nature

Our colour palette is a love letter to the Walled Garden and surrounding countryside. Think warm muddy browns, soft mossy greens, clay reds and golden ochres - tones that feel grounded, familiar, and peaceful. You’ll spot these hues in our bespoke upholstery, painted woodwork and patterned drapes, many of which have been hand-finished by local artisans.

In some rooms, we’ve introduced rich floral wallpaper and folksy prints that echo the 16th century - inviting a sense of nostalgia with a modern, joyful twist.

Design That Celebrates Storytelling

This refurbishment isn’t about erasing the past. It’s about shining a light on it - literally and figuratively. We’ve embraced the manor’s natural darkness with cosy lighting, snug corners, and softly glowing lamps. The result? A space that feels cosy, layered, and deeply personal.

Curated gallery walls blend old and new, while bespoke joinery and vintage finds give each space character. From the drawing room’s barrel chairs and warm lighting to the hand-sketched design boards scattered with mood fabrics and architectural sketches, every room is a page in the Woolley Grange story.
