Art Exhibition – Cornelia Parker: THE FUTURE

Discover a unique film installation that envisions the future through the eyes of primary school children, now on display in the Core Gallery on the top floor of the Core building.

Cornelia Parker’s work dives into big social and political issues, asking a class of primary school kids what they think their future will be like.  The title plays off the phrase ‘at sixes and sevens’ (meaning confusion) and the 1964 documentary Seven Up!, where 7-year-olds talked about their future dreams. This film captures the kids’ hopes and fears, revealing a mix of thoughtful and unexpected responses.
