Frequently asked questions

  1. Where are dogs allowed in the hotel?

    There are a few areas where dogs aren’t permitted, including the conservatory, treatment rooms and the pool.

  2. Do dogs have to wear leads?

    A lead must be worn at all times in public areas.

  3. Do you have dog waste bins?

    We’ve thoughtfully placed two dog waste bins around the hotel for your convenience. One between the main hotel and pool building, and another outside the lodge’s front door. You'll also find several scattered around the nearby National Trust grounds.

  4. What dog walks would you recommend?

    You’ll have 1,800 acres to explore, plus Bury St Edmunds—known as the most dog-friendly town in England. Please ask at reception for more information.

  5. Can non residents order from the A la Bark menu/Waggy tails tea?

    Yes. Calling ahead is advised to avoid disappointment.
